Aww Lauren!! So kind of you!  Ready? Drumroll please....I'm getting married! The man popped the question this past Monday, and looks like we're going to pull it off on Monday, September 26 which will be our 7th anniversary. (And of course to honour the occasion, my bouquet will be nico blues ) We've been talking seriously the last month or so about making it happen, now it's actually becoming reality. I will still bee at the vigil, but I'm going to have to jet eeeeeeeaarrrrrrllllyyyyy Sunday so no vigilstock for me  Ah I'm so excited!  |

YAY congrats St3ph!!!! Did you guys meet at the vigil? I think I saw pics of your soon-to-be-husband at the vigil on some websites... I used to be completely obsessed with vigil pictures before I managed to attend it last year.. It was like the only way I could feel like I was there... Is he one that has a really badass tattoo? Man, you guys should get married in Lafayette so we could all attend! hahaha yes, Im inviting myself to the wedding... lol Im just kidding! |

Howdee Melons... I took the liberty of calling the good ol Knights Inn there in Lafayette we all love and asked them about group room rates for us Melonhead Vigilgoers...the guy was all about it and was kind enough to email me some details. Basically...he said if we put it all under a company name he'd give us a business discount...SO when you call for reservations and you want to stay in the Melon block of the hotel...and get the discount...say you're with SUGAR SKY PRODUCTIONS. The reservations will be under your name, but tell them that's who you're with. here's his direct email: __________________________________________ I am setting up a room block for your group for the dates of September 23rd-26th. However I need from you an estimate of how many rooms will be needed, what types of rooms (doubles or singles), and whether each room will be arriving September 23rd and departing September 26th or if they will have different arrival and departure dates. Like I told you on the phone, the Feast of the Hunter's Moon is going on that same weekend, but I will still give your group a discount off of our rates for that weekend. For 1 full size bed I am setting up a rate of $39 + tax a night and for 2 beds, $42 + tax. I will get the block set up as soon as I hear back from you with an estimate. Because this group is going to consist of individual reservations rather than a deposit, I am going to set up a release date of August 23rd. On this date, any rooms that have not been changed from the name "Sugar Sky Productions," to an individual resrvation will be cancelled. After that date people can still call and make reservations but I can't guarantee that the rooms will be available and for those special rates. So, be sure to let everyone know that they need to make their reservations before August 23rd if they want to take advantage of the special discount. Thanks gabbee  No, we didn't meet at the vigil, but we both liked blind melon before we met. Once I found out he liked melon that's what pretty much sealed the deal, then from there we decided to go to a vigil together. Unfortunately no marriage for us anywhere in the US, long story  Not sure which tattoo you're referring to, the one in my pictures of the upper arm tattoo of shannon on the galaxie? That's not him... the pic that I put in the tattoo thread of "blind" and "melon" on the forearms is him. |
