I'll be at Vigil "05" for sure Melons.I'm comin from Detroit so I'll be going towards Chicago then turnin' left and goin' down to lafayette. I'm thinking it's an 8 hr. trip.I'll probably be renting a car too.My plans are to get there Friday Nite or Saturday Morning and leave Sunday Nite or Monday morning.I guess it all depends on how many Nites in the Hotel/Motel I'll actually be able to afford when " Vigil-Time" comes around. It would definatelybe more affordable to go with a few otherpeople.Maybe a few of us in the Mid-West could get together before the Vigil somehow,so we would know each other a little better, and to see if we could all actually stand travelling together.

Well, I wish I could say that my vigil plans have been made, but I can't! I will definately be there (6 in a row!) but the duration I can not say. Let's just say something good might be happening in my life on that Monday that would require my presence, but that is all I will say until it actually becomes reality. 8807, it's not that long of a trip for you! It takes me about 6 hours and that's including crossing the border and the extra 5-10 miles it would take me to get through D-town. Are you going to take 94 to 65, or 94 to 69 and then take the back roads thru the state? I recommend the former, it's a few more miles but straight highway driving and the latter if you really REALLY dig corn fields.

st3ph-I wasn't sure yet if I would take 94 to 65 or not but it sounds like that would be the best way for me to go.I could see myself getting lost in a cornfield somewhere if I took the backroads.

I've gotten lost in the cornfields before, let me tell you it wasn't fun! The crazy thing was that it was a cloudy day, and off in the distance in the general direction of where we figured Dayton would be located, was a ray of sunshine breaking through the nasty clouds. That ray of sunshine was pretty much directly over Dayton, and we followed it all the way until we saw a road we recognized. We figure shannon was just helping us out to find our way!

I got a chance to drive Jenn's car (Panda's friend)during the Vigil. And the feeling was amazing...like..."imagine...Shannon drove these streets too"...that kind of feeling...
But yes, a Melon can easly get lost around there... :drunk:

OMG, Its you, my fellow melon at the alice board!!!! How are you doing sweety? Havent been to the Jar in sooooo long! This is so crazy you found this board so quick, I was planning on posting about it at the jars tonight.. So is it official now, you coming to the vigil for sure??? WEEEEEEEEE! I sooo look forward to seeing ya there! I wish I could make it to the Layne Tribute too, but I just know it aint gonna happen.. not this year Well anyways, welcome to the PATCH! I hope you stick around, Im sure you'll love it here! Charles man, that sucks about work but I hope you do get to travel around all you want... Maybe you could come to San Francisco after the vigil with us, then you could take a bus from there to L.A.? That'd be fun! As far as the vigil goes, the most important days are Sat cause thats the official day and Sunday cause of Vigilstock (you do NOT wannna miss it!).. I think this year a lot of people will stay Monday as well, considering that will be the 26th... As long as we see you there man! Hi Gabbee, thanks for the welcome....naturally I lost my link and it took me THIS long to find it again... I am SO looking forward to going this year.....thanks for those hotels, that REALLY helps....again...Tribute could learn from Blind Melon's example here....Geez....it is so nice to find a place to actually talk about Shannon....and Blind Melon and Blind Melon

yes!! hehehe Speaking of making vigil plans, I found this ticket really cheap. but Im afraid to book it... Cause you know, it's too soon and I havent really talked properly to you, Nata or Emma or anyone, we need to get everything sorted out, like dates and such.. But I guess you guys dont have anything definite yet huh.. Im such an anxious person, lol, if it depended on me I'd have my ticket, hotel everything booked already! lmao
Anyways, I was looking for some deals on cars, and I put from Wed (21st) to Wed (28th), just to have an idea of how much a week would cost.. and the cheapest I found was Avis, total was like $139.. which divided by two is like 70 bucks each. What do you think? Oh and how much do you think we'll need for gas an such? Im really really bad at calculating things like that, but at the same time I need to know exactly how much I'll need for Lafayette to see if I can make it to San Francisco.. Ahhhh Im driving myself insane!
Feel free to tell me to SHUT THE FUCK UP now ;D
