Love Pearl Jam myself. And Smashing Pumpkins comes a close second..
Smashing Pumpkins are hitting the road today for 12 city US tour..
Oct 05 Los Angeles, CA Wiltern Theatre Oct 07 Oakland, CA The Fox Theatre Oct 08 Las Vegas, NV Cosmopolitan Oct 10 Denver, CO Ogden Theatre Oct 13 Milwaukee, WI Riverside Theatre Oct 14 Chicago, IL The Riviera Theatre Oct 15 Detroit, MI The Fillmore Oct 17 Washington, DC 930 Club Oct 18 New York, NY Terminal 5 Oct 19 Providence, RI Lupo's Oct 21 Boston, MA Orpheum Theatre Oct 22 Philadelphia, PA Tower Theatre
Also heard that Smashing Pumpkins will be selling every show on a flash drive for this tour.. That is shhhweeett!!
It seems like a trend which is picking up rapidly. Saw a few other artists do the same last winter, and I know Alter Bridge would b doing the same for their upcoming European Tour.

Coheed and Cambria did that last year. Great idea! I bought one. Smashing Pumpkins had some good songs in the early/mid nineties...1979 and Disarm are some of my favorites

Wasn't Coheed and Cambria a bit of a progressive metal band? I could definitely have them mixed up with someone else... I remember hearing one of thier songs (or, someone else's song) and thought they were similiar to Caroline Spine...

I think they are both great but I'm a big SP fan. I'm going to 2 of those tour dates, livemusic. I heard about the flash drives. What other band would sell flash drives of the performance you just saw after their concerts? I love them so much! I found out you can also order the flash drives online for specific concerts : smashingpumpkins.com/storePlus, Billy totally winked at me!

I have actually been on a bit of a Pumpkins binge lately...mostly Gish and Siamese Dream era, that's when I was a big fan.

I love the pumpkins... gish-untitled. I'm not a big fan of the new stuff though.. it lacks the heart of the real stuff.

I was a huge fan during the Gish/Siamese Dream/Pisces Iscariot era. They kinda lost me at Melloncollie and I never bought another album after that, but I still consider their early albums to be some of the best of all time.
