If you and Christopher Lloyd had a Blind Melon time machine what show would you want to go back and experience?

Honestly...Thats a Tough Question. Wetlands would Definately be Towards the Top of The List. Also The 95 Show @ The Metro, and Maybe The Vancouver Haloween Show (But Not in the Front Row). I Dont Think I could Choose Just 1 Show. Good Question.

i was at the memphis 616 show and got to meet the band at a music store before the show. i was so starstruck or whatever you wanna call it to even hardly speak. i would now soooooo ask shannon for a hug and a pic! it was an awesome show. i would have loved to have seen them with neil young too.

I would say either Woodstock '94 or the "Live at the Palace" gig because when they played "Soak the Sin" on that it was fucking insane!! Would've loved to be in the crowd during that one...

That's a good question. The Wetlands show from March of 1993 would be my choice.
Marty! 1.21 Gigowatts!

That's easy, Woodstock 94, front row centre! I'd be curious to see the reaction at a certain show where they opened for Lenny Kravitz, but I'd make sure that the Doc parks a few rows back from the front.

I am also leaning towards Woodstock but the threat of getting hit with a flying bongo is terrifying! The Much Music Intimate and Interactive show would have been really special. Sitting in small room with limited Melonheads watching the band and chatting in between songs. But then again maybe a real early club gig....

I'd say Wetlands, the Vancouver Halloween show in 93, or a NYC show from 92, maybe Irving Plaza.

1. Original 9:30 club in DC before there was a CD of the first album. I have all their autos on a cassette tape (which is framed w/ a pick Chris gave me that said Shannon Hoon on it when they came back out w/Travis) The whole crowd sang CHANGE so loud it was incredible. Shannon didn't sing most of the lyrics because the crowd did. I now know this had happened at many shows, but the feeling and the energy that night was incredible. Intense even. 2. Seeing Melon front row with Lenny K at Geaorge Mason Patriot Center. I slapped Shannons hand at least 5 times. I think he saw how crazy I was going and was sorta laughing at me knowing how much I was getting off. The rest of the crowd was lame. There was a few other meloners as I remember but not many.
3. State Theatre/Falls Church I think 07. The band was terrific. I was a little concearned about Travis before the show but he won me over. Got to hang with the guys after the show and they were grateful with their time. Got 3 picks during the show. Chris gave me a yellow pick that said Shannon Hoon after the show in the parking lot. I asked Glen for a stick and he didn't have many but he ended up giving me one I had him sign that said "this means alot" because I was in heaven seeing my band again. To let him know why it meant so much not only did I love the band but also I told him that when my Mom died in 94 I put their first disc in the casket (I'm gonna tell my mother I love her so, thank you for giving me these bones of golddddd). I'll have to say for a band that was missed as much as Melon, the crowd was not band family oriented (love of the band like others) as it was the first time around. I talked with a few people about the love for the band but many people didn't seem as they really felt the same. Maybe it was just me.
Now I had a ticket for a show in DC a couple of days after Shannon passed. I could have got my money back because of the cancelation but I opted to of course keep the ticket.
Rest Fest Frederick MD Sept 5th and I'm amped. Too bad they aren't playing more song from FMF. After I saw them with Travis I really took a liking to the disc. Makes a Difference,Last Laugh,Hypno, Cheetum,With the right set, Sometimes, Pharmacy,Harmful. All these songs blow most shit out there now out the water. I think any one of those singles would put them right back on top, where they deserve to be.
