...is horrible IMHO. Biggest musical disappointment I can remember in a while. Only song I dug was Huckleberry Crumble.
Anyone else give it a spin?

I just heard the one song they played on the radio and when it was on I was thinking what is this garbage. Then when the song was over they said it was new STP ...I just couldnt believe it...very weak , just my opinion

Took a listen (had heard one song on the radio and wasn't really impressed), it's not that great in my opinion.

I heard the new single on the radio, and I thought that I was listening to Creed. (ewwwwww. . . ) Then the DJ comes on the air after the song and says, "Hey, that's the new STP!"

Their last effort, Shangra La De Da, was awesome. I dunno what happened. Time I guess.

I am very unhappy with it. Nothing stands out on the record, it's just a bunch of filler. My favorite album is Purple, every song on there has something amazing, but that's just my opinion. Regardless, the new one is terrible. Of course, shangri-la wasn't any good either so I didn't expect much, but I did expect something.

I watched a live performance on MTV last night. I have yet to listen to the album just because I hate to be disappointed, but the live performance wasn't as good I what I saw in person years ago and the new stuff didn't grab my attention at all. I think maybe when the material gets watered down, it's time to move on.

well, other than a few of their songs, ive never been a fan anyway. they just lacked a lot of something to me......the music never really seemed sincere to me. i just had to post to comment on ryans quote I heard the new single on the radio, and I thought that I was listening to Creed. (ewwwwww. . . ) Then the DJ comes on the air after the song and says, "Hey, that's the new STP!" truer words have never been spoken. ill second the ewwwwww for creed. possibly my least favorite band of all time!

Never was a big fan and the new single didn't impress me either.

It's terribly disapointing. Really expected more of them being the rest of their body of material is pretty solid.

I didn't like it at first, which is the same as I felt about Shangri-La (it took 5 years to get into it), but this album grew on me quickly. I love that they change their style with every record, I thought the stand out tracks are Take A Load Off, Huckleberry Crumble, Hickory Dichotomy, Hazy Daze, Bagman, Peacoat, Dare if you Dare. Give it a few more listens, I'm glad I did I've never lost faith in this band. They've been radically different since Tiny Music... but equally awesome. I like to say if you want another Core, go listen to it...same opinion for people who love Purple. I think great bands evolve and if they do it well they don't care about what others (even their fans) think, cous they know their ever faithful ones will love it. I personally don't want to hear the same record over and over.
