It's the Coastline all around the tip of the Thumb in Michigan.Port Austin,Caseville,GrindStone City.My Dads' place is in Filion which is between Bad Axe Michigan & Port Austin.A Sunrise & a Sunset from the Same Place in one day. It's Incredible up there. It just isn't possible to capture it with pictures.

It's Incredible up there. It just isn't possible to capture it with pictures. I know what you mean, it often frustrates me...but then again, if we could capture things the way they are we wouldn't need to travel, lol. That's actually what people thought will happen when they discovered photography, they though they won't need to travel cause they'll be able to see places on pics anyway...pretty stupid thought, huh?

I really like the idea of photo-journalism. Obviously it may be boring sometimes because you're forced to take pictures of things that don't interest you, but the other times make it worth it because you get a chance to do something you haven't done before! P.S. Love the pictures as always Barb

You described it good, sometimes you take pictures of stuff that you really don't feel like taking pics of but for most of the time I really enjoy it. Especially now with the new newspaper and moving to the coast. Before I was in the capital and I had to take pics of stupid fancy parties, lots of stupid events. But sometimes it was really cool, like Jack Daniels party, Jack Daniels for free all night (of course it wasn't a public party for everyone or they'd need an ocean of Jack Daniels) Oh how I got drunk that night!!! I talked to a photographer for hours and next day I sure wished I haven't said some things. Anyhoons, now I have more relaxed and interesting subjects and the enviroment is cooler too
