for the past year ive worked for the social security administration as a disability claims rep......stressful 8-5 office job also with the responsibility of being a peace maker and making everyone happy. 9 years before that i worked as a mental health therapist. a job i loved dearly and miss terribly. never could learn how to leave everything at the office and not have it absolutely rip my heart out!! (especially the kids) I always wanted to be a mental health therapist. I was put into rehab when i was yonger for a drug problem and i became real good friends with the mental health therapist at the clinic. I have always been facinated by it ever since then!!

I take phone calls from angry customers all day and my job is to make them happy again. Its within the credit card industry. I'm also a part time student. Wow, kudos to your nerves! I'm photographer, working for a newspaper (daily and weekly) and their website: www.zurnal24.siI cover only the coastal region, main redaction is in the capital and for many reasons, I'm very happy and grateful I don't work in the capital. Thread with some of the stuff I did at work: blindmelons.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=624&page=4

I am currently working in Home Healthcare.......after being in advertising for almost 6 years I got fed up.....and walked away. So now I've put the brakes on.....slowed down.....no more deadlines....no more "SELL SELL SELL"! Right now it's great.......but I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up.....you would think at 34 I would know......but I don't.

Well, here's what I've done for a living so far.I worked in the family business from 12-17, & I paid taxes on it the whole time. When I moved to Ann Arbor,MI I lived & worked on a real farm for 6 months, corn fields, machinery, pig barns cows,a Bull, chickens for eggs, etc. That was in 1985,I was 17-18 yrs. old. After that I drove a forklift for Barfield Manufacturing in Ypsilanti for 3 yrs. When I moved back to Taylor,MI I hung drywall for awhile but ended up getting a decent starting wage at Wellington Industries Inc.I ran a press in a production line for a few months then they sent me to Robotron School in Southfield MI so I could program & keep their 3 robots running.I set up the 12 weld-press's they had also.I worked as a line leader for 7 yrs.on the afternoon shift.I found Melon over a yr. before I went on the day shift as a die-setter/line leader/supervisor.I got to where my white shirt in the beginning & end of the day & on breaks only cuz they worked my butt off.I worked there for 14 yrs. total but got to take my 15 yr. retirement package due to a few car accidents. One of which cracked my skull & sent me on a nightmare rollercoaster ride.It took a couple years just to get my medications right. For the last 4 yrs.I've been able to get about 2/3rds my wage in Social Security Disability checks also.HI lovejoy! I'm 42 now & I'm a Melon/househusband/father of a teen/fixer-upper/mess cleaner & all around problem solver.

I sell microscopes and imaging systems to research universities and hospitals - also industrial measuring scopes. Plus we have a family farm which requires constant attention. Plus we have two bumpkin kids that are always into something...so they require constant attention...so with all my free time I check in here periodically to see whats up.
