I just want to say I'm happy It's not my country but the decision it makes has an influence on the whole world. Thanks to everyone who voted and gave us all new hope! Everyone here is happy, almost as if it was our own country ;D Besides, the fact that an afroamerican has been elected for president of USA shows another great step and how much things changed in a good way in the past few decades. Is it january already?

Happy to finally see that someone other than bush will be in office. i voted McCain, but it was a tough decision. Either way I am happy with the results and we will see some "Change" finally. Hmm that would be a good theme song to use during my four year term. I wonder who sings it?

This is one of the only times since I have been old enough to vote, that I feel confident and hopeful in a president. I truely believe he will help our standing in the world and work toward peace and co-operation within the US. Thank God it is time for a Change!!!

i've realized that the large number of the people who are angry with the results are racists. well at lest thats the case here in Staten Island i think it's a grate day for America, Change is finally here after 8 long years. and a Grate day for African Americans who after all of the work they put in to free the slaves and the civil rights movement and everything in between that finally get to see a black man as the president of the united states.i sat with my family all of last night waiting for the results tho it was easy to tell pretty early on. we also waited for the wonderful and moving speech elected president Obama gave. in years to come we will be able to tell our grand children that we were alive and saw this historical day. i'm HUGE into politics and i'm sad that it's all over all the debates and new coverage the discussions with friends but i gatta say i'm a lot happier then i was 4.....8 years ago. GOOD BYE BUSH!!!!!

I am happy Obama won! America finally made a smart choice! But i am totally let down and ashamed of my California on the outcome of Proposition 8-(eliminate the right of gay marriage) Makes me really sad
