Wow. Too bad all my money has to go in my gas tank in order to go to the place where I get paid the money to put in my gas tank to go to the place. . . (repeat ad infinitum) precisely how i've felt as of late, brotha!! gas has jumped about 3 cents per litre every week it seems since the beginning of the year. we are at $1.33/ litre now ($5.04/ Gallon) it now costs $60 to fill my grand am, that used to cost $35 2 years ago, when i bought the vehicle. still, i needs me some more melon vinyl

In Germany and Holland gas costs about $2,5/liter ($10 a gallon), it eats your bank account when you drive through. #faint#
I don't think I ever mentioned that Joel put the Galaxie vinyl in the swapbox, I owe him forever for that! I was so freakin happy! It has the following songs on it: Galaxie St. Andrews Fall (Demo) Wilt (Demo) 2x4 (Demo)
Kevin, I know you did that before so I wonder what do you need to transfer the songs into a digital file (except for a turntable and a computer...)? Is it complicated to do?

Nope, not TOO difficult Barbara. Pretty much what u said, and some software . It was my brothers setup. I do not own a turntable, though a have a few records. OH!! I should mention that there are actually TWO!!! Galaxie vinyls out there. Both contain the same same tracks but one. I know Ryan has the 'other' Galaxie vinyl, and it has Car Seat..... but I'm not sure which song it replaces.....i almost wanna say Wilt, but i really can't be certain.

Thanks for posting that Ryan! It's good to see that vinyl collecting is gaining momentum. It gives me hope that some of the stuff I missed out on will be re-released.

The fact that Best Buy is putting vinyl back in their stores speaks VOLUMES! Not that I'd ever consider buying albums from Best Buy...

Do you know which software, by any chance (for mac, if possible)? I also don't know what kind of cable do I need but I guess I'd have to see, depending on the enters/exits(?) of my turntable.

The one we bought is USB compatible. Numark TTUSB Turntable with USB www.amazon.com/Numark-TTUSB-Turntable-with-USB/dp/B000G3FNVMGreg hooked up the laptop to it and was able to record music from the turntable. It's a good turntable for just listening to vinyl. Greg has it hooked up to surround sound in the bedroom. We're buying a better stylus this week - there is nothing wrong with the basic one that came with it...Greg just met a dj who works at Guitar Center who is going to sell him a good quality stylus at half price. ;D Also, I just wanted to mention that we bought some GruvGlide over the weekend and it works like a charm. Every record we've tried it on sounds a thousand times better now. We have a lot of vintage records and the GruvGlide took away the majority of the static, cracks, and pops. It's kinda pricey but it's worth the money because it makes a HUGE difference.
