How to Post Images on Message Boards
If you are wondering how to post images on forum message boards, then you have found the right thread. About a year ago I had no idea how to post images, but once I figured out how to post photos it seemed easy. With a quick read through this thread you will learn how to post images in this forum as well as others. But if you have any questions, then by all means. . . that’s what this thread is for. . .
The first thing that you need to have is a free image-hosting account. Getting one of these is not very different from signing up for a Yahoo or Hotmail account. The three main image-hosting sites that I know of are: Photobucket, Flickr, and ImageShack. I like Photobucket the best, and that is the site that most people on this forum use (I think). But I actually have a couple of accounts with each one of those websites just so I have more space. You just need one valid e-mail for each account that you want to create.
Here are the weblinks to those free image-hosting websites:
www.photobucket.com/
www.flickr.com/
www.imageshack.com/
Once you have created your account, you need to upload images to it. That part is pretty self-explanatory. You browse your hard-drive for the picture files that you want to post on the web and upload them to your account. Then you just have to give links to these images within the forums that you use. These links are given to you in three different formats: URL links, HTML tags, and IMG brackets. At least those are the options that photobucket provides. Here is an example of what it looks like:
You just need to copy the proper link and paste it into the forum. In this case you would copy/paste the IMG code. Once you preview, or post the message, you should be able to see the image in your message. If you don’t see the image then you can always go back and edit your message and figure out what went wrong.
If you have any questions about how this works, then this would be the appropriate thread for those questions. . . #yes# #yes# #yes#
