I've always really liked Megadeth. When Mustaine was kicked out of Metalica,I remember waiting to hear those first few records from both bands to come out.I saw Queensryche in 91 when they finally performed those Operation Mindcrime songs. That was a Great Concert Man!

mustaine might be a bit of a jackass sometimes... but there's no doubt he's one of the all-time greats in metal. i can't wait til the american carnage tour gets rescheduled so i can finally see them play.

I've always liked Megadeth. Never seen them live. I saw Metallica, live, when they were at their peak. Good show. Definitely hard workers.
But, I do like Megadeth's music much better... The older stuff rocks! Then, they had that period of "what the hell is Dave thinking" releases... Now, it's back to being really good.
Two of my favorite songs... 1 newer... one older..

Speaking of Megadeth... I have a friend that is in a Metal band that is heavily influenced by Megadeth (known him since junior high).
Check them out!

Matt Ive seen Megadeth twice once was for Peace sells tour and the other was for Countdown to Extinction where a rarely known STP opened for them and blew my mind away. Megadeth , like Metallica, put on a helluva a show. If you get the chance and they bring that new tour to your area you should go.

Yep, "Purenform". www.myspace.com/purenformchecked out their page. i think the only thing holding them back is they're singer. he's good, but i don't think he knows quite how to sing. the first two songs i thought were quite weak in that aspect... he sounded more like he was just talking and didn't change anything up for the parts where it sounded like he should've been doing more screaming/growling. the third track 'drown' he did a much better job on, but could certainly improve if he worked at it. sorry if this is off topic

No prob.. He is actually the founder of the band, and writes all of their songs.
Check out "God Knows" on their MySpace site.. You may like that one a bit more.

I was heavily into Metallica starting in 85 & bought the vinyls as they came out. When Mustaine formed Megadeth I loved them too & bought the cassettes as they came out.I only listened to that type of music,Slayer,Iron Maiden etc.I even went so far as to start digging Kreator. I saw Metallica in 92, I think, but by the end of that year I started to grow out of it I guess.I was just burned out from listening to such heavy music all the time.I started cutting my hair shorter & listening to the radio again. It's good to go back & get a dose of that Heavy music now & then still. I think Riki Rachtman was/is a little twerp.Rachtmans quotes could've been left out of Pratos book completely.Shannon answered his phones, after that, did he ever even talk to him again, are there even any pictures with the both of them in it?I forget.Little rikki doesn't have a clue. That's just my prejudiced opinion & rant for the day.Have a good one.
