Hey, you're copying this from South Park! There was an episode where canadians apologized for Bryan Adams and Celine Dion Well, I will say thank you for Bryan Adams cause I love him! I say thanks to Canada for Danko Jones! #worship# I`m listening to Tragically Hip now for the first time. I have heard the name sometime but never any of their song. At least at the time i didn`t know it was a Hip song. Doesn`t sound too bad actually.. I might as well give this band a chance.. oooo what song(s) are you listening to? as excited you are about hearing my first ever input on BM, i am just as much excited to hear yours of the hip

First song was New Orleans Is Sinking.. Since Ishy mentioned that song i gave that a try at first.. Good song, don`t have much more to say of it at this moment.. lol "Little Bones" is great on the other hand!!.. #banana# #smiliechristopher# Ahead by a century is playing now.. It`s hard to give a first impression because i have to pause the songs quite often at this point of the day. There`s quite much going on at work so i can`t concentrate on the lyrics or the music that much... I`ll write more later tonight when i get home.. Positive first impression, that much i can say now!

First song I heard of the Hip was World Container and I love it! Then I heard a few other songs. After that Paul sent me a DVD, Live from Paradiso (Amsterdam) and I watched it. I liked the music but I found the singer's not singing too good #meh# Like singing false notes, I dunno. But when I listened to the albums and other audio I liked it much better. I should listen more to say exactly what I think of them, but for now I can say I like them pretty much Singer's voice reminds me of Michael Stipe of R.E.M. and I love Stipe's voice.

yea a lot of people say gord's voice sounds similar to stipe's. In concert gord goes nuts and is really entertaining. (sometimes his voice gets a bit rough in concert).
Joel (and anyone else) if i may, i suggest trying these songs: Opiated Kids don't get it nautical disaster sharks locked in the trunk of a car trickle down eldorado fireworks
lots of variation in the sounds and spans from 1989 - 2006
