Thanks Barb! It's a festival and Aerosmith is headlining, but Chris will be playing quite a long set. There's a load of other bands, but they're really the only two I'm interested in seeing

Ok when I was in Dayton in April we stopped at Nel's house to print a picture of Ryans fork band logo design(for the tattoo guy) while my son was pulling up the picture Nel told us how Shannon would sit and make these things for hours he made a bunch to give out as gifts. She said she would make 1 for me since it was so important to me but I think she has forgotten. Now how cool would it be if that is what she handed out this year~She also seemed surprised that I knew about the forks.I told her how Ryan had come up with the idea and she was pleased. Is it Sept. yet???

I decided to dig up this thread because I have a story to share... I was walking around downtown Ottawa this summer, and I came across a stall where some guy was selling jewelry made of utensils. There were spoon bracelets, spoon rings, and yes, Fork Necklaces. At first, I was offended that the guy was selling something so "Shannonish". But the next day, as I walked by the same stall, I had a change of heart. So now I own my very own fork necklace. It's obviously not as special because it was made by some random guy on the street, but when everyone says "cool necklace", I tell them, "Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon made them for his friends. Did you know he..." Here's a picture of it. I wonder if the guy got the idea from Shannon?

I wonder if the guy got the idea from Shannon? I wouldn't have thought so - to be honest, it's not the most original idea for a necklace. I'm sure fork necklaces were around before Shannon made them
