It's kindof a Trip that while I was listening to the Use Your Illusion albums in the early 90's,I was hearing someone on vocals that was going to be a Huge part of my life. After hearing Blind Melon in 96,They still to this Day are a part of my Life, of course.

Finally!! In Making Of Don`t Cry there`s a little clip of Shannon on stage during Don`t Cry and i`ve been trying to find out from which concert that clip was taken from. It`s this one. Shannon is wearing exactly the same clothes. Great! Now i can let it go.

Thats friggin sweet. I had never seen this. Did someone say they had the audio? I uploaded it for you (I'll upload the audio from the other shows GN'R and Shannon performances tomorrow actually). rapidshare.com/files/19101553/ritz91_dc_yatf.rar.htmlAnd yes, Matt is right. Don't Cry was performed immediately before You Ain't The First. By the way, I'll try and upload the video rips, but if anyone wants to B&P (or even trade) with me these GN'R shows with Shannon then I'm more than happy to. 05.16.91 - The Ritz, New York, NY 12.09.91 -- Madison Square Garden, New York, NY 04.09.92 - Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, IL These are the only 3 GN'R DVDs with Shannon. Wow. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I have been away from the forum for the most part the past few weeks so i missed this but I'm downloading now. you guys rock. Glad to be back!

Ok, I just saw this clip for the first time but have seen several home videos of Shannon and GNR singing Don't Cry. I feel much the same way about both sets of video. I agree w/Mere about them being too close. They block out the beautiful Shannon's face. The one thing I see that was clear in both sets is that Shannon sounded awesome live and sounds better than Axl. I love Axl but on the home vids he would scream rather than sing just to be heard over Shannon. I thought Don't Cry was a duet of sorts. Anyway, always eager to see a piece of Shannon I've missed and so thank you kindly Mere! Diana #hoonsmiley# PS-Personally I'd have paid good money to be the peanut butter between those 2 slices of bread! Go away Izzy, I said NO!!!

Yeah, I totally agree with you... but I guess they focused on Axl much more as he was lead (Shannon is more backing vocals) and is well known... Shannon wasn't know much at all in 1991. And what are these home videos? I don't think I've seen these... EDIT: ^ Oops, ignore that bit.. I was thinking more of Don't Cry rather than You Ain't The First Take your time Lee! Thanks a lot in advance! Exalt for you! #dance# And Matt, I haven't forgotten:P It's just that my DVD drive's been screwed up, and I'm getting a new PC next month after my exams so I can burn it then!

One tape was Nel's and one belonged to Christopher's mom who attended the vigil in 2003 I think. I still feel that Don't Cry is a duet...they both sang that song from wrd 1 together. But whatever, right? It's all about the Diana #hoonsmiley#

I hope some day I'll be able to see them at a vigil And yes, Don't Cry is a duet, particularly with the live versions where Shannon's voice is more noticeable. On the studio version he sounds more as if he's on backing vocals, as his voice in it is much softer than Axl's
