Walk... That's the main one for me.. Yeah,it´s also the main one for me. There are a lot where I feel like Shannons talking to me but especially "Walk" gives me an emotion of somehow warning and then giving hope and pushing to keep on trying and believing... I love the part where he says he needs friends and family in Walk, I'm starting to get obsessive about my Melon!

Great topic. As a recovering alcoholic and drug addict [ clean and sober 6 years ] I have always been able to relate what Shannon was expressing. In my active addiction I spent many a night alone with Shannon and various chemicals in a hopeless, helpless state crying to songs like I wonder, Change and Walk. Now that my life has changed, these and other songs have taken on new and more meaning, St. Andrews Fall, Mouthful of Cavities, Pull, Life ain't so shitty and New Life [ I now have one }. The list goes on and on. I could talk about this topic for days. As a matter of fact I do. My best friend is a Melonhead, and this is what we talk about for hours and hours. What hits me the most though is Woodstock. As Rogers said on Behind the Music " Shannon was off his rocker". TIME is my favorite. Lots and lots of pretty colors, and when he screams repeatedly,,,Let me go , Let me go... I get chills every time. SOAK THE SIN/THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER where he screws up the math... 3,6,9,12,15,18,22,26,27... hilarious. Then at the end he belts out... You'll never kill me, You'll never kill me, HOW TRUE! His physical body may have died, but his music, heart and soul live on in places like this forum and in each and every Meolnhead! Peace!

Others (depends on the mood and situation): Change Time Life Ain't So Shitty All That I Need and a lot more...

I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one doing that! I always kinda felt like a douche sitting there with my eyes closed and my hands pressed to my ears, rocking back and forth.... 2x4 slays me every time. Pull and St. Andrews are both just gorgeous through headphones... Yeah, Walk too. All of them-- I get so much more out of the experience when I use headphones, and it's cool to see that that's a common experience. The music can be inside your head that way, more than any other way of playing it.

I love listening to Blind Melon in headphones, you hear so much more and notice so many different things. I remember the first time I heard "Get me outta here, get me outta here man"...little things like that make me happy. Also, when he performed live it felt like he was speaking directly to you (the audience)...his body language and the way he emphasized words, it was more like a musical conversation than a performance.
I really feel the lyrics in songs like St. Andrews Fall (esp. in the 20 below version), All that I Need, Change, Mouthful of Cavities, 2x4, Deserted, Time, Walk, Galaxie, Pull...there are just so many.

I love the clickity clack of Walk today, my favorite live was Working Class Hero before I used headphones all your songs speak to me and I will relisten to them in high grade head phones just because you mentioned them like how all the others did to my joy!

3arman,I can really relate to what you are saying, Big Time. I like all the songs at different times but I always like the beginnings of, Holyman,Deserted,I wonder They always conjure up something from the past or are hitting home with something new I'm dealing with.

Mmm, Mouthful of Cavities is the one for me. So nostalgic... And the voice of Jena It's so great (btw, there's a version of that song where Jena and Shannon alternates different than the soup version, (altough all of you knows that for sure) it sounds good too).
