Hi guys,
I was watching the Biography Channel and a show came on where psychics where making contact and communicating with the spirit of Jim Morrison, and pretty successfully I might add... They were actually having a conversation with Jim through this psychic using her special cards, a picture of Jim and a candle in his LA appartment, which he lived in for a few years in the late 60's... Anyway, i was wondering if there have been any attempts to contact Shannon using a psychic? It would be worth a try...
Cheers

I feel a little silly actually letting everyone know how "out there" I can really be...
but there is no doubt in my mind that there are people with a gift of communicating with spirits. In fact, I know that almost anyone can develop that ability.
I have actually worked with a psychic recently regarding many deaths of very special people in my life. One being my 6 year old nephew who was killed in an accident this past October. It was actually quite magical, and not scary in the least (as this sort of stuff used to make me shiver like Scooby-Doo!) ...and for just a short moment brought my younger sister a moment of comfort in knowing he is ok.
I am quite sure that there have been many people who have "heard" from Shannon, especially those close to him, whether in dreams or simple signs that may reflect his personality~
I know every once in a while my nephew will fool around with the radio staion, turn on a music box, or flicker lights distinctly...the little stinker!
Anyway, I know there are people who are more open than others, so be it! But if there are any peeps out there who feel they have had any kind of experience, please share... I love messages from the "other side"! And of course, this type would be very exciting and special to say the least. #bee#

PS~ Yes, it is deffinitely worth a try, but most psychics will say they have absolutely no idea if they will connect with a specific "person". THey are usually just someone who is capable of seeing "whoever" is around at the time. Never the less... there is usually a great message of love from who-ever you are connecting too. ...I was cautioned to be selective with who you choose to work with. You really want to work woth someone who speaks of love and light.... (ya, I know I said I was a little out there) PPS: I am a massage therapist, and Ido lots of energy work with my clients...can't help but be sensitive and open to things, my friends!

I am really sorry to hear about your nephew... I hope that you got closure from your psychic experience...
In this sitting, the people conducting the psychic investigations chose places where Jim would frequent often, or felt most comfortable... It took them a few gos to actually contact his spirit... They first tried the last home he lived in the US before he moved to France, but instead found the presence and talked to the owner who owned the place previous to Jim... Then they went to a haunted house which Jim used to visit often, cause Jim had an interest in the paranormal, and liked haunted houses... There the people found other angry spirits (the director got pushed and almost fell down a flight of stairs)... Finally they checked out an apartment block in LA where Jim lived and was now a shine used by fans... There they talked to him and found out how he really died (even though it was a drug overdose, it was fuelled by exhaustion and relationship problems)... He also said a few things which i can only imagine Jim saying, and also revealed some info about the people in the rooms personal experiences which had nothing to do with him, making one of the men cry... It is also funny because there was also this picture taken in the 1980s by a fan which shows the depiction of Jim as a mist in the background at the site of his grave in Paris... You could make out that it was Jim, shirtless, leather pants and one of his classic poses... It was truly an amazing piece of work...
So maybe we need to find a place where Shannon felt comfortable, where he used to live or would frequent often and see if we could contact his spirit... Im sure we could find him and have a talk to him...

He's probably at the vigil every year I bet they can sense that stuff! Thanks for the well wishes for my nephew. Yes, this has been helpful, if anything to try to wrap our brains around this unnatural sequence of events. That sounds like a cool program/documentary. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it! #ghost#

Knowing you lost your nephew really saddens me. #console# We share the same belief in psychic phenomena. I lost my dad in Aug/95 and had a "psychic" experience in the cottage where he died. Before that I was a non-believer. This started my search and a lot of the books I read I considered bullshit. The first book I read that made sense to me was by Stephen Hawking who wrote "A Brief History of Time". In this book he explains how time can be bent and how all of the universe vibrates. There was a lot of information, some I understood and some that went way over my head. One night I was at a party where we were talking about extra-sensory perception and someone mentioned a book called "Your Sixth Sense" by Belleruth Naparstek. This book really cemented my beliefs. I'll give you a couple of excerpts. "Here is Bentov's awesome conceptual clincher: pendulums have some remarkable features at their still points, as does anything that is at absolute rest. Between the time a pendulum has come to a full stop and the point it starts on it's return trip, it traverses a zero point , where all bets are off regarding the causal relationship between time and space. At those two still points , the pendulum becomes , for a short period of time, nonmaterial, and expands into space at infinite velocity, thanks to relativity theory, this is a mathematical certainty. Our body is a pendulum. It oscillates up and down at a rate of about seven cycles per second and therefore reaches a state of rest at the rate of 14 times per second (and probably a lot more, but at least that), we are expanding at a very high speed through subjective time into objective space. In no time at all we come back again but during that "no-time" we have been out into other dimensions and realities, dispensing and collecting information. This is exactly as Bohm described the continuous pulsing of protointelligence between the implicate and explicate orders." "However, he felt it highly likely that meditation, which heightens and coheres consciousness, could be used to help the body get closer to this state of synchronized oscillation and thus extend the power and range of our subjective length of stay in the "out" zone. If large parts of us are blinking on and off in unison, big chunks of us would be at the still point simultaneously, and our awareness and recall of our omniscient reach into infinity would be far greater. Similarly if our blinking on and off were synchronized with that of others, we could meet them and possibly even interact with them during those short periods of time "out". In a sense all of creation would be in constant and instantaneous communication on the level of this spacelike universe, with some of us more aware of this than others. And those of us on the same wavelength (literally) would be in close contact indeed. Put another way, people attuned to the same frequency would be resonating all the time and communicating easily in the "out" zone." Which explains the melonhead phenomena, we're all on the same wavelength and resonate all the time so have managed to meet here not only for our love for Blind Melon but also because we all give each other something we need. So I'm a little out there also , nothing wrong with that. #ghost# #hug# #peace#

hi, just thought i would add my two cents
i really don't think a bunch of ''cable t.v'' psychics can be respected at all ....just cheapens the memory of lost loved ones...that being said i do believe in the other side or whatever you may call it
last year my grand father who i was very close to passed away in hospital from complications of emphisema..he had been in hosp. for about two weeks and was really struggling the night he died i rang him at about 4 pm and we chatted for about 5 minutes and he sounded better than he had in a really long time and he seemed really happy and good...he passed away 4 hours later..they say just before you ''go'' you have a period of really good health and clarity...but heres the really odd thing now my pop was a real intelligent man had all he's faculties and what not... a few hours before i spoke to him on the phone his sister inlaw was sitting with him reading and what not when suddenly he could here two voices on either side of his head and he could see somebody at the foot of his bed but couldn't quite make out who they were ...a little while after his death i was talking to my girl fiends mum (her family were involved in a spiritual church here in melbourne) and apparently when you die three close people in your life(already passed) come and help you move into the other side....and this brings me a sort of comfort that there is more than just this life.....sorry for the essay but i thought i would share it.

Like my grandpa said, "to each his own." He said that when he was alive, not a voice in my head after he died. Come'on that was funny.

I absolutely believe in connecting with those who have passed. My dad died 7 years ago and I went to the psychic about 3 years ago. She got so much right...complications that he had- his amputated leg, that he had problems breathing (we took him off his ventilator), kidney failure, substance abuse problems with family members, even the cemetary he's buried in and which entrance we used to get into it! So I'm sure that Shannon is around and connecting with those who are open. I wish it was me!!

I once new a guy who worked at fairs and such. He actually took a class on how to read people. What they say, and don't say, to how they sit, move and dress. Just so he can tell them what they want to hear when they come to him.

I get alot out of meditation,I do feel that I'm connecting to a positive cosmic consciousness, possibly spirits that I will join after I die. Then again my Dad thinks we're like ants.Once they're stepped on & crunched, that's it,game over, nothing left.I actually believed that for awhile but have found my own Spirituality that I can live with.I also have friends who are Athiests & sometimes they seem alot more radical about it than I am about my Spirituality.I just think if you find something that feels right to you and comforts you & makes you happy, case closed.Who is to say who is right or wrong.I don't like psychics, maybe I'm a little scared of them. When I am around someone I know claims to be psychic(my Wifes friends Mother-in -law,My Mother-in laws Uncle)I try to fill my head with Slayer,Pantera & Sabbath songs,& horrible images that they would find offensive. If they get inside my head they're not going to like it.So maybe that shows that I believe some psycics are real.I already know I have some strange connection to Shannon & Blind Melon,as you guys do.I don't understand it,but I accept it

I am only laughing at the image I had of you being around these "psychihcs" and you doing your best to make it yucky so they leave you alone. You have a point though, if you are around someone who claims to know things, etc, you may feel a little vulnerable. Like they have some sort of tool that you don't have, giving them some upper hand. I used to, well I still sometimes do... feel uncomfortable at the thought of a spirit being around. Like if they can see me, and I can see them, that's not fair, and it leaves me feelining helpless I have since gotten more comfortable with those ideas, and the psychics that I have connected with spend a lot of time meditating first, to try to get that connection. There are some who do it over the phone, where they can't even see your body language. Having put in my two cents in again, ( a few time now, maybe I'm up to eight cents... ) yes, I can be corny... I think "to each his own" is a valid point too. Guess nobody really knows anything except what feels right!
