It's actually a Black and White CD. I have a cardboard Soup CD still sealed. If you can find a sealed verion of the album with the the Soup CD art, let me know.

I'll definitely check next time I go to the capital. The thing is...if it's sealed I won't be able to know for sure if it's a soup cd inside. But we can probably assume that soup cds have jewel cases. I saw they have it in french Virgin megastore online, I don't know which version it is but I suppose this difference is a question of U.S./European market (and others) so I could take a risk...however, I'll see if I can get one in Slovenia first.

Virgin Megastore actualy doesn't send cds/dvds, you can only download the music. I checked some slovenian sites but no luck, the only thing I found was Best Of It makes me angry that they're so unknown, it's just not fair. Anyhoons, I'll see if I can make them order it for me. I can ask them to order more for everyone who wants one? Let me know.

Yea... I never recieved a version of Soup with the Jewel Case. So, if you do find one, I'll be more than happy to trade.

I'm pretty sure that if it's a cardboard case there's an ash-tray cd inside. At least that's the case of everyone who wrote about it here.

It's jewel case, but it's got the ashtray disc. As I said in the first post, it came from BMG music club. It's missing the barcode, and has "Manufactured for BMG Dist." in its place. Damn, should've asked Glen.

I'll definitely let you know as soon as I find it Matt. ...Which makes me wonder about the version that I have. It's jewel case, but it's got the ashtray disc. Yeah, I was thinking about it too, maybe the guys would know more about it. Or simply Capital Records? I wonder if someone at the Capitol Records would answer if we asked them about it.

Yeah, I didn't know there was a soup version. I have the ashtray version. And my Soup CD packaging is cardboard, not a jewel case. I'm not sure if the versions in the stores today are jewel cases or not. yeah same here. I have ash tray Cardboard here.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!! when people realize something new!! My first copy of soup was bought through a music club, much like BMG, called Columbia house. That version was of the cardboard type(not the black menue style) but if i remember correctly there was a sticker on the packaging that named it a limited "digi pack" w/ the B&W ashtray cd. That one was stolen, and i replaced it w/ another "digi pack" from a record store that had the ashtray in it. I did not know of the Soup Bowl CD. OH! did anyone notice the Capitol Record symbol on the cigerette filter? haha Capitol Smokes. I have yet to replace my second Soup record it went up in a house fire. I always check for BM stuff in the stores. And i must say, they must do well here because w/out fail they always seem to have at least 2 of the three albums on the shelf as well as Porcupine and a greatest hits SOOOOO.... I may have a bargaining chip Finally!! tell EVERYBODY what. I'll go get my 3rd copy of the cd this week. and see if in fact there is an ashtray in it. I have a feeling that the "digi packs" had the astrays and the jewel cases has the Bowl of Soup. Now what i've seen at the local store here is the jewel case. But i'll buy it none the less for myself and let yas know. If what my local store has what you want...I'll pick it up for y'all. I've not see the "digi pack" in YEARS it seems. man, this has got me Excited!
