The version of Soup that I have has a ash tray for the image on the cd. I've seen the disc with a bowl of soup for the image also. How many different versions were released? I bought my copy used off Amazon, and I believe it's a 'cd club' version. Is the standard store-bought version different?

Wow, how cool, I never heard of an ash tray version! Mine has a bowl of soup, I bought it in a record store. I'd love to see how the one you have looks! Is it the same ash-tray that we can see on the cover?

Yeah, I didn't know there was a soup version. I have the ashtray version. And my Soup CD packaging is cardboard, not a jewel case. I'm not sure if the versions in the stores today are jewel cases or not.

My version is in a jewel case. I bought it about 10 years ago. Now I'd love to have also the carboard packaging/ash-tray version although the music is the same...obsession? Maybe it's a difference between USA/Canada and Europe or/and the rest of the world? Melons outside U.S., which version do you have?

Mine is the ashtray too.. well it was, before someone broke into my car and stole all my cds #pout# #smiliegreen# But anyway, Kiwi bought hers in New Zealand and she has the soup bowl too, but I dont know about the case. I guess the rest of the world gets the soup while we get the ashtray

I have cardboard and ashtray too. The Soup I have now isn't the same as the one I had when it came out. I don't remember what my original had on it. That cd bit the dust awhile back. I've had to repurchase self-titled, Soup, and Nico over the years because of wear and tear.

Wow! Is it in black and white or is it just the pic? I want the ash-tray/cardboard Soup! I wonder which one they sell on Amazon today. Can you still find Soup in stores in U.S.? I'd love to make a deal with any of you, if I could find a soup version in a store here and someone would send me the ash-tray version. But I'm not sure I'd find it...I wish I was still in Paris...well no, I don't wish that really but at least I could probably find Soup in stores there.
