I also think they should continue the production of the song Letter's From a Porcupine. It would be cool to hear a full, rockin' version of that song.

I think that's a great idea Matt...I would love to hear that! I think it would be cool for them to rework some of the old songs. That's something that Tori Amos does a lot...she'll take an old song and rearrange it to make it sound totally new and different. I consider it to be a treat.

Yeah, Matt, that's a fine idea. It would be a good way to bridge the "old" Blind Melon. with the "new" Blind Melon.

I agree, not just because I am also a Tori Fan!

I'd love to hear an "electric" version of Letters From A Porcupine, or any different version of it, but I don't thik I would like it so much as I do the accoustic one.

You wait to you hear The Holy Crab's full version of this track on the Tribute album - it's a very very good effort. I too, would like to hear this fully recorded by Blind Melon - a bridge song is a fantastic idea - first song on the new album

You never know until you hear it. You might be suprised. I agree. Mark, I heard the version on the tribute album and I had it also on my mind when I wrote the previous post. I know I heard only an extract but it didn't sound so good to me as Blind Melon's original. Then of course I don't even expect that from any of the songs on the tribute album, not because they wouldn't be good, I'm sure most of them are very good and will be a pleasure to hear, I can't wait for it, but Blind Melon is just unique and I think that's one of the big reasons we all love this band so much!

I think that they should experiment and play anything they want until they find their groove. They're all so talented and will quickly figure out what works for the new Melon. I'm just excitied to see how everything will unfold and to hear them.
