Discuss the Baton Rouge show here. I bet the energy will be great tonight b/c of the album release. I wish I could be there!

Karen just called and said there is a van for 98.1 outside of the FYE where they are doing the in-store appearance right now. Anyone in the listening area should tune in and see if they are broadcasting the performance. I checked their website but you can't listen to their station online.

Great freaking show, but then again what's new? They get better and better every time!!!
On our way back to Nola I nearly got arrested. Got caught driving the wrong way on none other than Bourbon St which was blocked to all traffic as always... But I really wasn't drunk, I swear! The cop was cool though and didn't even give me a breathalyser... Shannon was looking down on me for sure ;D

That whole trip was amazing and hysterical but last night was just plain comical. "Someone's going to jail tonight!" You know that's going to come true one day when all of us are together.
I'm working on getting my pics and video in order, water in my body and some sleep....maybe some missing pieces of the past few days will come back. Thanks Gabby and Paul for an awesome time.

Every show is amazing and I truly mean it. This was my last show until June (2 months, what am I going to do???) so it was kind of bittersweet. It's always so hard to say goodbye to everyone. Anyway, the setlist was: Galaxie 2x4 Toes For My Friends Soup Drive Paper Scratcher Sleepyhouse Sometimes I Wonder Last Laugh Wishing Well Change Hypnotized Tumblin' Down Skinned (the bubble machine was crazy---the bubbles were huge ) Soak the Sin Wilt (was it just me or was Wilt just killer that night???) No Rain The Pusher Encores: Mouthful of Cavities With the Right Set of Eyes Time Thanks to CT for trying to get Down on Pharmacy for me. I was sad not to hear it but I appreciate the effort. Kudos to the guy with the sign who got WTRSOE played. As usual, more pics are on myspace if you want to look. We got a chance to talk to the guys from Moonlight Towers and Greater Good. Great bands and awesome guys. Both are highly recommended. We got to talk to CT and Rogers for a while after the show as always. Both were kind enough to inform me that they will be hitting the East Coast again in June. #smiliedancing# I can't wait. #smilieIloveblindmelon#

This show was nothing short of incredible. i went in slightly skeptical, wasn't sure I was ready to accept anyone taking/trying to take Shannon's place. I listened to a few songs on the myspace and didn't take it much further than that I wanted to let the live show speak for itself, and did it ever. I never in a million years thought such a day would come, but Travis, really, really does the band justice, and it's so awesome to see the music living on so to speak, and now evolving. I never thought I would say this, but they've found the perfect guy. He doesn't replace Shannon in my books, but he's got that something to make this whole thing work. I was just blown away the show was absolutely awesome. I picked up the new disc on my way out and have listened to countless times since Tuesday...love it! Also obviously, this is my first post, so I'm new to the boards, but I met a few of the boardies at the show...the road tripping ones. So shout out to the chick from Jersey, the one from Dallas? and the guy from Holland, it was nice meeting you guys. I was the "unhappy looking" blonde. lol and I had the time of my life for the record, so... I have pictures and videos which I'll hopefully have the chance to get uploaded sometime this weekend. i'll post here when they're up. peace!
