I got a call from Gabby during "Skinned," so I thought I would go ahead and start a thread for the show so they can tell us all about it.
I am sending all of you good vibes during your trip! Thanks so much for the call! ! ! You rock Gabby! ! ! #rock#

Nice show to say the least!
As it was my first live Blind Melon event, I didn't know what to expect... but 24 songs later, I knew that that may have been the best concert I have ever witnessed.
From the opening onslaught of "Galaxie" , " 2X4" , and "Toes Across the Floor" to the new mellow "Cheetum Street" the show was perfect. Dead on. Brilliant.
Travis's voice is something special. I had NO IDEA he had those kind of pipes! I mean, I knew he could sing, of course, but during the jams he was adlibbing the most amazing "Yeah"s I've ever heard!
The people I was with agreed: His range is amazing. SO energetic.
And the band? Spot-on. Not a mistake to be heard. It was like listening to the C.D. I especially loved the tones on their guitars... so nice, so nice.
Probably the perfect set-list really, and everyone I met there was crazy-nice, to boot.
All I can say at this point is cementing something I already knew:
I will love this band as long as I'm still breathing.
-Jordan

You know, something just hit me: the last concert Blind Melon ever played before Shannon's death was in Houston.

You know, something just hit me: the last concert Blind Melon ever played before Shannon's death was in Houston. We were reminded of that too when we where there. We showed up to the club waaaaay too early (seeing as I was afraid of getting anything besides front and center seats) and ended up talking to some of the personel at the club. One guy told me he served Shannon his last drink, a Kamikaze. Now I don't know if that's true or what, but it was a weird feeling to be reminded of such a sad thing on such a great night. -Jordan P.S. Thanks for such a warm greeting!
