Hey guys, I'm in Chicago waiting for my plane to France... end of the dream anyway, last nite in San Francisco was amazing! A lot of Rain Fur Rent fans came from South California to see Travis so I guess it was special for him. They played Cheetum Street and the guys invited me for the sound check before the show ;D Also, the new album was available at the merch store ;D i won't tell u anything about this album before you get it cuz there is a nice surprise these guys are so friendly and so nice, i have no word to describe my feelings. more coming soon...

QUESTION: Is there a place that shows set lists for the tour? Like the Black Crowes crowesbase?
I don't know what to say. It's been 13 years since I've seen the band live, until last night at the Independent in my (current) home city of SF, CA.
Wow. I went with 3 friends, 2 of whom were long time fans, and we all walked out amazed at how much fun we had, and how much fun they had on stage.
First, the opening act (Leather Underground?) was great. Tight music, catchy lyrics, I'll definately keep an eye out for them.
The Blind Melon set went until after midnight, and it could have gone on longer. At the end of the encore, Travis left the stage and the rest of the guys just played it out for a couple minutes. If I was writing the story, it would go something like "we haven't toured in front of fans like this in over 10 years, and we don't want to stop."
They must have played 20-30 songs, it was amazing. Souveniers got thrown out to the crowd all night long, I think they even threw a mic into the crowd.
I could ramble on for awhile here, I had a great time.
The show was sold out. They called it the last night of their tour, and they were selling the CD! I've been listening to it all day. The title track.. dude, I wanted to call up all my old/close friends. Even the ones who where at the show with me. Great song.
I want more! On the one hand, I felt like Travis didnt let the band play enough, but on the other hand his voice is an instrument unto itself, so it really worked.
Got to hear Soup (Travis' proclaimed favorite song, and mine too) and Skinned, everything else was gravy for me.
ok bye.

This show was amazing, unfortunately it was hard to be at. I had tickets for me and my boyfriend that I bought when they went on sale and sadly he was killed in an accident two weeks ago, and blind melon was the last thing we listened to together. I almost didnt go to the show but thankfully everyone told me that I had to. Although it was incredibly hard to be there (I was balling the entire time and the band probably thought I was some nutty fan cause I was in front) it was a fantastic show, and I know that he was out there with me enjoying it as well.
Really really great show.

Oh no, this is terrible, so sorry to hear that shescomeundone9. I think it's a good thing you went, he was there with you. Vince, I'm glad you had a good time, I hope it won't be too hard for you to come back home and return to everyday life. I want that album too! I ordered it online but I asked Paul to pick one up for me and make it sign by all the guys. I hope he doesn't forget! QUESTION: Is there a place that shows set lists for the tour? Like the Black Crowes crowesbase? Usually people post them in threads dedicated to the particular show. So, if you're looking for a setlist of the SF show, I suggest you to keep checking this thread, hopefully someone will post it later.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss shescomeundone9 I think it was a good idea that you went anyway though, even if it was very hard to go. I'm glad that the show was very great, and I'm pleased that you were able to get copies of the album (meanwhile the rest of us have to painfully wait!). I hope you had a good journey back Vince, and I'm happy that you had a fantastic trip
