The show in Detroit added to the legend. People drove down from Canada, they drove up from St. Luis, they drove from Chicago they came in full form to share the songs of Blind Melon!!! I must say , we delivered. At a certain point, you are only as good as your audience. Arms up in the air all the way to the back, all the way around the balcony till the last note of our set. Its one of those moments when I wondered. Am I a rock star? Its the moment when my life stops and the dream takes over and I thank all who came to that show for that. We sit on the bus after the show compared driving stories from fans. How far they drove, from what cities ect..... and we are so blown away!!!! It's nice to be considered road trip worthy. Thank you Detroit!!!!!

There's nothing to wonder about Brad, you've always been a rock star! Would we custom make special "Brad shirts" as an homage if you weren't? But now that you've realized it, just don't let it go to your head. Don't get all "Diamond Dave" on us. #haha#
I honestly can't think of a more road trip worthy band touring nowadays...some of the best times of my life have been a result of going on Blind Melon road trips with my wonderful friends so THANK YOU for making that possible. Sorry to sound corny but the fans are living a dream right now too and none of us want it to end. It's a great time to be a Melonhead! ;D

Yes Brad, you guys are Rock Stars! Don't you see all your swooning fans? Seriously though, when you have a cars full of melons following around it means something. You guys are not only wonderful musicians but also wonderful people who treat their fans with respect. THANK YOU! Thanks for some great shows. I was at a lot of the East Coast shows and you guys delivered every night. I can only imagine the magic happening at all the other shows. Do I need to quit my job and follow you guys around...anyone else up for it???

Yeah, Brad you guys are indeed rock stars! But even though we look up to you guys as fans, it is so cool to meet you all, because you don't have any of that arrogance associated with the rock star label. But when you guys are are on stage performing your music, thats when the outcome is greater than the sum of its parts, and you are truly part of something that is very important. Road trips? I am about to take one myself! #thumb# I'll be seeing you guys from Omaha to Grand Jct. I can hardly focus on all of the things that I need to do to get ready for the trip. Thanks again Brad for giving us these updates. We can all tell that you are very excited with how things are going with the tour.

If it means you will keep making records, I'll tell ya you're a rock star... You were rock stars at the Vogue in Indy.
Anyway, I am now in the planning stages for a Las Vegas trip. I have a friend out there who is going to April 30th show. I am trying to adjust dates for the trip to be able to make it to that show. From Cincinnati. How's that for road trippin? Me and my wife were joking that we can follow em around and sell hemp jewelry. I am almost 95% positive I will see em in Las Vegas. Cannot wait!
Peace, Brad from Cincinnati

That was definitely the best show I've ever seen, and I've seen over 200 concerts. The energy was incredible..the band was unbelievable. It was worth the travel..I flew to Toronto from Calgary (4 hour flight) and then drove 4 hours to detroit.

It was honestly one of the best nights of my life. I moved to Calgary from Toronto so I don't see my buddies as much as I used to. After flying to Toronto ..I got to hook up with them, have some drinks, watch Live at the Metro, drive to Detroit and experience the most amazing concert ever. Soup, in my opinion, is up there with Dark Side of the Moon as one of the best albums ever made so it was absolutely euphoric to see these songs live.
I also got to meet Rogers quickly and tell him that I own one of his old guitars. I bought this '74 strat in 2001 on ebay which the seller claimed belonged to Rogers. I emailed Rogers to see whether the seller's story was true and he responded to let me know that it was in fact his. I finally got to meet him face-to-face and he was really cool...and he remembered the guitar. He asked me if it was the "original wood strat"... which it is.

AMAZING Show!!! That place was packed to capacity and the crowd was crazy. You guys rocked it all night long and Trav's voice was on fire. We saw you at the Canopy last run and it was great but nothing could match the crowd we had in Detroit. Your live performance won you 3 new melonheads that traveled with me and I am sure many more at the show. Also Travis played my kazoo which was pretty cool since I bought it years ago just so I could play the opening and ending of skinned! Can't wait for the new album. I have the preorder and I'm going to the store at 9 am April 22nd for more copies. I obviously need one for you to all sign!!!Keep on Rockin!!!

I came from Canada twice to see you fellas, once for one show. & Once for a week long road trip w/ some of the finest people i've ever met! It was a trip w/ multiple meanings. I cannot say which is the grander of them all. But I do know any financial burden taken on from such a trip is lil compared to finally having that release of 12 years thinking I was NEVER goin to EVER see Blind Melon; just disappear in an instant during the first bar of Hello/Goodbye.....
This means Sooooo much to the Lot of us! Thank U All!!! #thumb#
*come up north, dangit*
