 Fork Necklaces
« Thread Started on Jun 8, 2007, 8:37pm »

You all might remember that I posted a picture a while back in the Ultimate Shannon Hoon picture thread that had a picture of Chris Cornell wearing the fork necklace that Shannon had made for him. . .

I was looking through some articles that Leigh has donated towards the articles website, and I found this one from a RIP magazine in January of 1993. It has a band photo, and you can see Brad wearing the fork necklace that Shannon gave to him. . .

So it is easy to see that they are different. I wonder how many fork necklaces Shannon gave away as gifts. ???

What a creative gift! It would be so cool to have a fork necklace that was made by Shannon. . . #blindmelon_01#

Thanks for sharing Ryan :)
Chris Cornell wore that necklace a lot before Shannon died. I've seen quite a few pictures of Soundgarden with him wearing it.

I want a fork necklace!

I could make one I bet.....but it wouldn't be half as cool as the ones Shannon made.

I was attempting to make Ryan one lastnight, and all I ended up doing was burning the hell out of my finger. It wouldn't even bend.

I would recommend heat resistant gloves, plyers, a torch lighter and easily bendable fork :P, all of which, I had none. haha

I'm fine. It's just sore if I bump it. I was thinking about going to Big Lots (they sell individual silverware) and trying those out. Oneida definately does not bend easy. I laughed lastnight though when I read the back of the fork. It said "Rogers".

I WILL MAKE ONE :P

Haha Shana :D I'm sorry you burnt your finger and it didn't work out.

And Ryan, here's some more pictures of Soundgarden with Chris wearing the necklace.

Most eating utensils are made of stainless steel (which is a combination of nickel and chrome). Some are also made of sterling silver.. but I don't own any, because I'm too poor. :P
I can imagine that Chris and Brad poked themselves quite a few times while wearing them... but hey, that's the price you pay to wear a shannon hoon fork necklace :D

I saw that one earlier when I was doing a search. For some reason it doesn't look like a real fork, but still really cool.
